Email Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information GarsonGames collects when you join our mailing list, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies only to our email subscription and the messages we send to subscribers.

P.S. If you're not currently a subscriber to the mailing list, we highly recommend you do so on our homepage if you're interested in any of our upcoming projects!

What we collect

When you subscribe, we collect only:

• Your email address.
• The date you registered.

We do not collect your name, location, IP address, browsing activity, or any other personal data through the mailing list. No tracking pixels or analytics are embedded in our emails.

Unless you count interesting and exciting information tracking pixels and/or analytics, which in that case we do embed those in our emails. We hope you understand.

How we use your information

Your email address is used for the following:

• Sending occasional news about GarsonGames' upcoming project(s).
• Sending consistent updates for devlogs and other development information.

We do not use it for any other purposes. None at all. We promise. Pinky swear.

Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link included at the bottom of every email we send. Once you unsubscribe, your email address will be permanently removed from our mailing list.

Hopefully we're interesting enough for you to want to stay with us, but no questions asked if you want to leave. We'll only cry a little, nothing much.

How your data is stored and shared

Your email address is stored securely in our subscriber database and is used to deliver emails through our email service provider. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your information with any third parties for marketing purposes.

If we needed money we would be crowdfunding or signing with a publisher. There are better ways to obtain funding without selling your precious data.

Data retention

We keep your email address only for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your record is deleted from our mailing list. You may also request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Or, you could just do it yourself by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link included at the bottom of every one of our emails sent to you.

Children's privacy

Our mailing list is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect email addresses from them. If you are under the age of 13, and would like to subscribe to our mailing list, please consult a trusted adult beforehand.

Our projects are not targeted to those under the age of 13, but we won't tell if you won't.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.

Unless we forget about updating this page because we're so focused on developing our projects. We're going to assume you prefer us prioritizing that over this.
